Toray Composites (America), Inc., is formed.
Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc., is formed.
Toray Membrane America, Inc., is formed
Toray acquires the fluorofiber business of DuPont and establishes Toray Fluorofibers (America), Inc.
Toray Membrane USA, Inc. (absorbing the operations of Toray Membrane America, Inc.), is formed.
Zoltek Companies, Inc., a manufacturer of large-tow carbon fibers, joins the Toray Group.
Toray Composites (America), Inc., and Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc., are integrated to establish Toray Composite Materials America, Inc.
Toray completes purchase of shares in TenCate Advanced Composites Holding B.V., and TenCate Advanced Composites USA, Inc., is established in the U.S.
TenCate Advanced Composites changes its business brand name to Toray Advanced Composites. TenCate Performance Composites, a subsidiary of TenCate Advanced Composites, subsequently changes its business brand name to Toray Performance Materials Corporation.
