Message from Chief
Representative for Toray Americas

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website for Toray group companies in the United States.

It has been more than half a century since Toray Group opened its New York office in 1957. Now we own and operate twelve manufacturing bases (specializing in fibers & textiles, resin, film, carbon fiber, water treatment and more), R&D functions for carbon composites and films, and a number of offices in the Americas. The most recent addition to our group is Zoltek Corporation, which is based in St. Louis and produces large-tow carbon fiber for industrial use. We also plan to further expand our operations with a new plant in South Carolina that will produce carbon fiber for Boeing. In Central and South America, where economies are rapidly growing, our business has been also increasing.

While we grow our business operations, we will continue to strive for sustainability in the Americas. Along with the expansion of our business, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has always been fundamental to Toray. Based on our corporate philosophy of “contributing to society through the creation of new value with innovative ideas, technologies and products,” we have bolstered safety, promoted accident prevention and environmental preservation, and established corporate ethics and social contributions in the communities in which we operate.

Our goal is to excel as a corporation that delivers exceptional value to every one of our stakeholders in the Americas. I hope this website will help you come to know our products better.
